About Me: |
|
|
|
I am a member of the
Dominican Order, with my Community located For many years I worked
in grammar and high schools In 1988 along with Father
Daniel Murphy, I coordinated the formation, development and growth of a newly
the newly formed Blessed Kateri Roman Catholic Parish in Sparta, New Jersey.
For 16 wonder-full years I watched our community grow in wisdom, age
and grace into a lively, vibrant and committed Christian Community. It
was an awesome privilege for me to serve as Pastoral Minister working along
with our priest, deacons and lay ministers to encourage and support spiritual
growth My heart is in pastoral work. It's what Jesus did. Jesus knew his Theology and Scripture. He noticed people and was very aware of the everyday challenges of human living. In love he brought the wisdom of God to those he met in very down-to-earth practical and affirming words and ways. The Tree is an ancient symbol of life for our Native American people. Its roots reach deep into the earth. It is "grounded" in the natural world. Yet, it reaches beyond the here and now acknowledging that there is more, beyond its existence here. The opportunity to coordinate efforts to encourage the growth of our Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry Degree is both exciting and challenging for me. The needs are great, and the Spirit seems to be inviting laity to be part of Church in leadership roles that free our priests to be who they were ordained to be. I love nature, the country and the outdoors. I enjoy biking, cross country skiing and walking. Most of all I love to take
off for a day with my cameras
