| Objectives: | |||||||
| 1. The student will further develop a repertoire of instructional skills in planning and executing additional classroom experiences. | |||||||
| 2. The student will become aware of, and to the extent possible and desirable implement various teaching models in the field classroom. | |||||||
| 3. The student will understand, interpret, and design various assessment procedures to improve instruction. | |||||||
| 4.The student will become more skilled in the use of electronic media to research, plan, and present lessons effectively. | |||||||
| 5. Student will videotape and critique their own teaching episodes, and the teaching of others. | |||||||
| 6. The student will be made aware of subject specific methodology related to his/her subject field. | |||||||
| Methods of Conducting Class: | |||||||
| 1. Class discussion and interaction | |||||||
| 2. Visits to classrooms as a basis for recognition of application of teaching skills | |||||||
| 3. Presentation and analysis of videotaped lessons | |||||||
| 4. Modeling of several teaching methods (Cooperative learning; Direct Teaching, etc.) | |||||||
| 5. Sharing of Field Experience observations | |||||||
| Methods of Student Evaluation: | |||||||
| 1. Analyses of Videotapes --- 3 Analyses and Reports( 30%) | |||||||
| 2. Lesson Plans(2) and Videotaped lesson(1) (30%) | |||||||
| 3. Field experience --- Assigned Task 2 and Cooperating teacher report/Field Supervisor's Grade.(30%) | |||||||
