I met with Paul last Wed. I asked him questions about faculty development supported by his office. His response is that his office provides continued faculty development support in the following ways. 1)sabatical policy for tenured full-time faculty after 7 years of service; 2) operating budget for faculty that support faculty's travel to professional conventions and faculty development grant through the Faculty Development Committee; 3) faculty development initiative that comes from the Faculty Development Committee, e.g., brown bag discussion, guest speaker, NJ project; 4)new faculty orientation; 5) 4th year review that serves developmental purpose. Did I miss anything that I should have asked him? I'll type my notes by our next meeting. My meeting with Rita is postponed to 10-1. Yang
