We arrived in Paris later than anticipated (there was a small problem with the streets being too narrow for the bus) but eventually we arrived at our hotel and most of the rooms were ready. Those with rooms that were ready quickly put their bags in their rooms and headed back to the bus. We arrived somewhat late at the OECD, but they put on the entire presentation for us anyway.

We began with an introduction by Ms. Gwendoline Brucker and a 15 minute video about the OECD. She handed out information packets to everyone that included a number of interesting items related to OECD.

This was followed by a 40 minute presentation by Ms. Mary Gorjance, Advisor for Trade Matters (from the United States Delegation to the OECD). Her presentation centered on the roles and functions of the OECD and the US Delegation. This was followed by a brief question and answer period.

Mr. Rory Clark, an Irish expat, followed. Mr Clark is the Editor of the Observer a publication put out by the Public Affairs and Communication Directorate. He spoke about the role of OECD in the information world. Mr. Clark's PowerPoint Presentation

Finally, we had a quick trip to the OECD bookstore that stayed open late just for us. They have a wide variety of books and pamphlets available.
