CS115 Introduction to
Computer Based Systems
Learning to Use a Windo

1. Learn the basic Concepts and
skills in using a personal computer
2. Learn to use the Windows Operating
Systems
3. Learn to Use the Microsoft
Windows suite of applications
4. Learn to Use internet and
email applications
The course is designed to teach basic information about personal computers, computer components, networks and the internet. In addition, students learn some common applications used in typical business environments. The course objective is for the student to achieve a level of competence in using computers that will meet future academic and business requirements.

the textbook publisher
Each Computer Lab has a
schedule of hours posted on the door or in the room. Please feel free to use computers in
any lab during the scheduled hours.

Grades will be issued based on test grades and Project Assignment results. Tests will result in a numerical grade. For each test, the grade distribution and associated letter grade will be shared with the students. This will keep each Student apprised of their approximate cumulative grade.
