Course Description: 

The Medieval Studies Seminar provides a comprehensive learning experience in the history, literature, art, and philosophy of the Middle Ages.  Study of primary sources and integration of the disciplines will be emphasized, to provide an expansive understanding of the historical movements of the Medieval Period, to come to a deeper appreciation of selected literary texts of the period, and to study the development of visual and auditory art in relation to theological and philosophical understandings of the age.
