Welcome! The links on the left lead to course descriptions for the semester courses and supporting materials. Favorite Links leads to sites of personal interest to me, including the web page for our Caldwell Dominican congregation.
My scholarly interests include the history and structure of the English language, all aspects of medieval culture, and Shakespeare. I continue to explore the dialogue between mystics and religious poets in fourteenth-century England, and the insights available when their works are studied in the light of of twentieth and twenty-first century literary criticism. A side interest in the Irish language, both modern and medieval provides some depth to my Celtic Voices course.
Instructional technology has long been part of my teaching. Learning management software facilitates collaborative research in each of my courses, in addition to providing a vehicle for exchange of assignments and supplemental information. This web page changes to supplement what is available through the learning management program.
